Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight

The Mk.IIc Hurricane was powered by a 1280 hp Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine. Its top speed was 342mph. The Mk.IIc was armed with four 20mm cannon, and could also carry bombs.

The Mk.II Hurricanes differed from the earlier Mk.I version by having re-designed wings with attachment points for external stores. The fuselage was also strengthened to accommodate the new wings.

PZ865 has the distinction of being the very last Hurricane produced, out of a total of more than 14000. It is seen here in Pacific theatre markings.
