The C-160 is a joint French and German designed tactical transport aircraft. It is powered by two Rolls Royce Tyne turboprop engines, and can operate from rough landing strips.

The C-160 is a versatile aircraft which can be configured to carry out a variety of tasks. It can be used for general freight transport, troop carrying, paratroop dropping, medical evacuation, airborne refuelling, electronic surveillance and communications relay.
